We are delighted to share the CCS group and Universal Care Services are now a Supporter Members of The Care Workers Charity – https://www.thecareworkerscharity.org.uk/. This annual charitable partnership covers every branch in the UK and is a fantastic way to support our staff. Below you will find more information about the CWC and how they will support our teams.
CWC Crisis Grant Information
The CWC the only national charity that specifically supports health and social care workers. The charity offers valuable mental health support and training, and financial crisis grants that colleagues should be aware they can access via application (details below). We can additionally support colleagues with writing their applications to secure emergency funding. This does not need to be repaid by the colleague or the company.
Alongside mental health and wellbeing support from TELUS (previously LifeWorks), our investment as a Supporter Member of the Care Workers Charity will maximise financial support for our colleagues across the UK. This partnership will also be beneficial for your regional Social Value Quality Mark and will maximise brand visibility with external stakeholders

- If the CWC’s form is not accessible due to a disability need, we encourage them to access help through a us, a friend or agency (such as Citizens Advice). If they need further support, please contact grants@thecwc.org.uk.
- Assessment – CWC must receive all required documentation before they are able to assess an application. It takes 1-3 weeks to assess an application. They aim to have two rounds of assessments a month, near the 1st and 15th of each month.
