Monday, February 3rd, to Sunday, February 9th, marks the week dedicated to raising awareness for children’s mental health. This essential week is organised by the charity Place2Be, which has been providing counselling, mental health support, and training in UK schools since 1994.
What is Children’s Mental Health Week all about?
Children’s Mental Health Week is a dedicated awareness initiative launched by the children’s mental health charity, Place2Be. The purpose of this week is to empower, equip, and give a voice to all children and young people across the UK.
This year, the theme for Children’s Mental Health Week is “Know Yourself, Grow Yourself.”
Place2Be aims for Children’s Mental Health Week 2025 to inspire children, young people, and adults to embrace self-awareness and reflect on its significance in their lives. This will support their growth and help them build resilience to face life’s challenges.
This year, Place2Be is partnering with Here4You, supported by The Walt Disney Company, and the characters from Inside Out 2 to delve into the theme of Know Yourself, Grow Yourself.
How can you help?
By donating or fundraising for this amazing cause you can help ensure that all young children gain access to crucial counselling, support systems and allow them to find a voice through Place2Be’s program’s.
By making a donation, you can also support Place2Be’s dedication to providing training for aspiring counsellors, as well as offering placements for those currently in training.
